Why the Best Are the Best

John Maxwell says, “Leadership determines the success of the team,” and in this episode, he dissects what makes the best leaders the best. He offers two main ideas: The best leaders give their best to their people, and the best leaders are able to get the best from their people. You’re going to want to download the notes and follow along as John dives deep into these two characteristics of the best leaders.

Mark Cole and Richard Chancy direct our attention to the application side of John’s lesson. There’s a lot of great information to consume, but the goal is to slow down so we can do something with what we’re learning. Mark encourages us to choose one idea to pursue and focus on living it out over the next week.

  2. I’m finally caught up listening to all your podcast episodes! Mark & Richard, you have chemistry, you are both funny, and I just find the discussion and analysis after John’s talk very helpful since you give real life examples. I love the fact that you can tease and joke around with each other. I just discovered about 3 years ago to make leadership my mission -being a good leader. I work for a government agency and it is sometimes difficult to apply some of John’s teachings -Union is strong. I seriously am very grateful for John’s books, this podcast and for both of you for hosting this. As a result I am consistently finding ways to be a better leader. You guys are doing a great job!
    Thank you very much.
